What your agent can do
These are the tools the ledger gives your agent over MCP. They're built and tested, and they've kept one real business's books since October 2026. A direct daily bank feed is in testing; until then, statements come in as CSV.

Your agent proposes. You approve.
Agent Books doesn't run an agent of its own; you bring yours. It can draft, file and match freely. When it wants to send, delete, void, mark paid or export, the ledger stops at a preview and waits for you, whichever agent is asking.

No agent? It still works.
Everything your agent does, you can do yourself in the web app: categorize, set rules, match payments and run reports. There will also be a free plan for basic invoicing, covering clients, invoices with a PDF, and online payment.
Why it exists
I'm a freelance developer. I wanted my agent to run my books, not just answer questions about them, so I built the ledger it needed. It has kept my own business's books since October 2026.
